Wavves "Wavvves"

I already have this album. It was given to me on my birthday, by my grandmother. Just the idea that I'm going to post it here makes me want to download it. Wavves is so good...
Natahn Williams is the man behind Wavves. He composes everything, plays everything, sings everything, etc... He's the man. His first album (self titled), came on 2008, and it seems that Pitchfork really liked it (yeah, wtvr...). This album came out this year, and... it's great. Labeling: low-fi, noise, pop, punk, beach and on and on.

Next, I'll show you a videoclip of their well-known hit "So Bored":

Ataxia

It is hard to believe, but sometimes these things just happen. You know Red Hot Chilli Peppers, don't you? So you probably heard of John Frusciante [guitar]. It's up to you if you like RHCP or don't. It's up to me to make you listen to another John Frusciante's band: Ataxia.
Forget everything you already knew from John in RHCP. This is good stuff. No, I mean it: really good. The first album is from 2004, called "Automatic Writing"; the other, from 2007, it's "AWII". They're both worth it, believe me. Their sound it's not easy to discribe, but let's say it is experimental rock, or something like very similar. If you allready heard John Frusciante solo, Ataxia will ring a bell.
Just listen.

Swans - Filth / Body To Body, Job To Job

If you already know Swans, this information is useless.
Swans are a great american band. They started in the begining of the 80's and they splited up in 97. So this is kinda compilation of their songs, not a best of, though. If you enjoyed Coil, probably you will also enjoy Swans (last.fm speaking). They were an experimental band, sons of the No Wave movement, started with Arto Lindsay and those other guys.
I'm gonna shut up, now.
Have a great day

Sunn O))) - Monoliths & Dimensions (2009)

Hello. My name's Pete. João asked me to write here, now and then. So, I'm starting now.
Hope you enjoy.

I like to consider myself a broadminded person, when it comes to music. One of my favourites kinds of music is Drone. It is almost impossible to talk about drone and not to mention Sunn O))) (pronounced only [Sun], as far as I know). The first time I heard the band it was hard for me to believe that I was, in fact, listening to music. I was used to rock'nroll and not much more.
Sunn O))) expanded my musical horizon. So, for those of you who like Sunn O))), and for those of you who don't like them yet, here it is the newest album.
"Monoliths & Dimensions" makes no mistake. Four long-drone songs, extremly slow tempos, but with some sort of variety from tune to tune. Aghartha, for example, is a traditional drone song (know what I mean?). But Big Church has this weird choral that makes you feel just like if you were in a real church (like it or not). I won't tell you how the rest goes.
Well, in the end, "Monoliths & Dimensions" it's an incredible drone album: with dark ambients, hope, light, feelings (i.e. you get to feel the music) all in 53 minutes.
